Garena Thailand is currently hosting a new and popular online tournament for all League of Legends players in Thailand. A total of 151 teams are battling for a total cash prize of THB 16,000 (ca. 512 USD). After Garena Thailand, being one of the last publishers who can still hold Heroes of Newerth at a very high market-share we all can be expecting some very interesting tournaments in the future from Garena Thailand for its game League of Legends

Under the teams we have estrell.Black Bean, who recently came out with a new and very strong League of Legends team, while that MiTH, Play 10 Lose, Sixth Force and Why Zelelelenanana Mid are the under the favorites to win the tournament as a whole, which also the current top 4 shows.

The tournament is entirely played in a ladder format, where each team can play against each other and receive points; a victory is rewarded with 2 points, while a defeat is still rewarded with 1 point. The Top 4 will be being advancing into the Garena StarLeague where foreign teams will be invited as well.

Prize Money distribution looks as following;

#1 Baht 10,000 (ca. USD 325)
#2 Baht 4,000 (ca. USD 130)
#3-#4 Baht 1,000 (ca. USD 32)

The games are being played over a 4 months period, as the Grand Finals are scheduled on 11th to 13th January 2013 during the Compgamer show held in Bangkok, Thailand and you can watch the games in Thai, brought to you by Thailand eSport Shoutcasters (TeSS).
