Valve Release E-Sports Documentary Teaser
Today Valve released the first trailer to their long in production E-Sports documentary revolving around 4 high level Dota 2 players and their preparations, and sacrifices, towards playing at such a high level. The selected players show great global diversity and all come from various teams. The players are as follows:
Benedict ‘hyhy’ Lim of Singapore and Team Zenith
Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin of Ukraine and Team Na’Vi
Jacob ‘Maelk’ Toft-Anderssen of Demark and Team Evil Genius
Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis of America and also of Team Evil Genius
“The one thing they had in common is that they’re elite gamers,” said Jeff Unay of Valve, when talking about the candidates for the documentary which follows the four E-Sports stars as they prepare for Valve’s $1m prize Dota 2 Tournament, The International.
The International and its prize pool are like no other tournament in E-Sports – it’s $1m, just for the winner! Usually events do not reach this total when combining ALL the prizes over 4/5 games. With the second International coming soon, players such as these are in bootcamp playing the game for over 10hrs a day. This level of dedication is amazing, and the Valve documentary is set to show the pro’s and the con’s of living this high level E-Sports life style
The documentary is due to be released by the end of the year, and if you cannot wait till then enjoy the trailer attached!
