With the LOL Season Two World Championship running currently, let’s remember how the teams who are attending it were selected. The South East Asian qualifier for LOL, which happened in Vietnam, ended with a finals clash between the Singapore Sentinels and the Saigon Jokers from Vietnam. This was not the first time the two teams met, as beforehand the Sentinels managed to knock down the Jokers into the Loser Bracket.

However the Sentinels couldn’t emerge against the Jokers on their home turf, and had to fly back home with a defeat in their pockets, while the winners were preparing for the main tournament in Los Angeles, USA as the only team coming from South East Asia. Now, other teams would have possibly winded down and went into radio silence – but not the Singapore Sentinels.

In what shows to be a magnificent display of sportsmanship, the Sentinels have published a tribute to the Jokers, acknowledge their defeat and wishing the best to their prior opponents in representing South East Asia next to the Taiwainese team Taipei Assassins in the international Finals.
