In Europe and America many broadcasters are using JustinTV’s gaming platform, called TwitchTV. Now there has been a on-going frustration regarding the advertisement payout. Many broadcasters, with also popular gamers have been tweeting about a much lower payout than in previous months.

According to the American professional Geoff ‘iNcontroL’ Robinson, the payouts have been slacking since this year, but this time it’s only 50% of the usual income. When TwitchTV’s Vice-president of Advertising was approached, he stated that the revenue is now more or less depending on many factors such as geography, time and fill-rate.

The fill-rate has been a discussion since quite some time, as it seems that the broadcasters and streamers are growing way faster than the advertisement sales. Even TwitchTV is breaking record after record in streaming hours; it is still unclear how the unsatisfied broadcasters will react in the future.
